Ceremony / Award of Nation's Memory Institute
A ceremony during the Festival of Freedom will be held on 13th November 2016 at 4.30 p.m. in the Moyzes Hall (Vajanského waterfront 12) in Bratislava. The Nation´s Memory Institute will award the prize of the Nation´s Memory Institute in the following categories:
a. Brave in our memory and our heart – prize for resitatnce against oppression
The award-winner made a stand against one of the totalitarian regimes of the 20th century in Slovakia (or both) or published evidence of it (an opponent who published evidence or developed lecture of other similar activity in particular with focus on young generation after 1989).
b. Prize for contribution to preservation of the nation´s rememberance
The award-winner contributed with his media, audio-visual, artistic, enlightenment or educational activities to deepening and maintenance of the nation´s memory for the current and future generations.
c. Price for resitatnce against oppression and preservation of the of the nation´s rememberance abroad
The award-winner made a stand against one of the totalitarian regimes (or both) of the 20th century as a member of a foreign state in own country acts to restore freedom and democracy. His example inspired many, not only at home but also abroad.
d. Brave in our memory and our heart – special award
The award-winner made a stand against one of the totalitarian regimes of the 20th century in Slovakia (or both) in exile or as a foreign national participated in development of activities in order to restore democracy and to help the endangered people in Slovakia and refugees.
